In line with the theme “Road Safety – Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha”, Globicon marked National Road Safety Week 2026 with a thoughtful, multi-day initiative aimed at inspiring long-lasting behavioural change and reinforcing our commitment to community well-being.
National Road Safety Week is part of a nationwide movement to promote safe driving practices and responsible road behaviour. This year’s theme emphasizes the shared responsibility we all carry to protect lives by adopting safer habits on the road.
A Holistic Approach to Safety
Our programme featured a range of meaningful activities designed to strengthen road safety awareness across different groups:
- Defensive Driving Training for drivers, equipping them with skills to anticipate hazards and reduce risks
- Safety Awareness Sessions for employees, fostering a deeper understanding of traffic rules and personal responsibility
- Community Engagement Initiatives including street plays and a creative poster-making competition with children from nearby schools
By engaging drivers, on-roll staff, and more than one hundred school students, the initiative extended beyond the workplace to cultivate early awareness and responsible behaviour among future road users.
Celebrating Safe Habits
The week concluded with a special Prize and Helmet Distribution Ceremony, where safety-compliant staff and operators were recognised for their adherence to best practices. BIS-standard helmets were distributed to reinforce the importance of protective measures for every ride.
