National Safety Week 2026 was celebrated across ICTPL & Polaris locations with great enthusiasm, bringing together employees, operators, workers, drivers, and support staff to reinforce the importance of safety in our daily operations.
Throughout the week, a series of thoughtfully planned activities were conducted to build awareness, encourage participation, and strengthen emergency preparedness. The celebrations began with a Safety Flag Hoisting and Safety Pledge, setting the tone for a week dedicated to safety and well-being.
A range of engaging initiatives were organized, including a medical check-up camp, surprise fire and evacuation mock drills, Spot the Hazard competition, First Aid certification ceremony, and a closing ceremony with prize distribution.
Highlights from ICTPL
- A First Aid Certification Ceremony was conducted to recognize employees who completed a 3-day Civil Defense First Aid course under the Government of Maharashtra, significantly enhancing emergency response readiness at the workplace.
- A Free Medical Check-up Camp was organized, offering dental check-ups, blood sugar and cholesterol tests, BMI measurement, blood pressure and oxygen monitoring, and eye examinations. Over 70 participants benefited from this initiative, with senior management presence further encouraging participation.
- A Surprise Fire & Evacuation Mock Drill at the LCL/Export Warehouse tested emergency preparedness. The entire area was evacuated in just over two minutes, demonstrating strong coordination between teams and readiness to handle real-life situations.
- The Spot the Hazard competition saw enthusiastic participation, with employees identifying unsafe conditions in simulated scenarios — promoting awareness and preventive thinking.
📍 Highlights from Polaris Location
- A road safety awareness session was conducted for external TT drivers, focusing on the dos and don'ts of safe driving within the CFS premises.
- A Spot Quiz Contest was conducted at the Kalmar Workshop for RST and forklift operators, encouraging learning through interaction. An online safety quiz for staff members further reinforced key safety concepts.
- A fire mock drill and fire safety training at Warehouse No. 02 ensured that teams were well-prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.
The week concluded with a Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony, where participants were recognized for their involvement and contribution. The Safety Pledge was reaffirmed, reinforcing our shared responsibility toward maintaining a safe, healthy, and incident-free workplace.
